Hosta 'Geisha'

Geisha hosta

There's a lot of confusion in the trade over 'Geisha'. There are two forms marketed under this name -- one is quite large while the other is a dwarf. It turns out that the large form is actually a cultivar called 'Ani Machi'. We're selling the true, properly named dwarf form.

Originally found as a seedling, it exhibits quite unique foliage characteristics. The glossy green leaves twist at the end like a tuile (a kind of curved cookie; I haven't eaten breakfast yet) or a cowlick (I haven't combed my hair either) and bear a broad stripe of chartreuse down the center.
